Julien Ekiem is a freelance artist and designer from Lyon.
Born in the Paris suburbs, he developed an early interest in imagery and quickly built up a graphic and visual culture to which he devoted his studies. He began his career as a freelance graphic designer in 2007 and has since worked for creative agencies and various brands.
Alongside his design work, Julien Ekiem has developed a more personal style and adopted a simple visual language in his artworks based on clean, stylized lines, combining bold colors, screens, and repetitive patterns. Rich in content and combinations, with a plurality of mediums, his works can be read as an abundant whole or as a multitude of protean and autonomous elements.
A versatile and dedicated artist, Julien Ekiem has evolved considerably since his beginnings and is currently moving towards a more contemporary and graphic approach, as evidenced by his latest works.
